The first issue of The Motherhood Muse is available at TheMotherhoodMuse! It's a new online literary magazine about Motherhood and Nature.
From their website:
The Motherhood Muse offers mothers and writers the opportunity to dig beneath the surface of spilled milk, Band-Aids, and crayon-scribbled walls to explore the depth of their nature. Children nourish our souls while words nourish our minds.
Enter the enchanting world of motherhood literature to nurture your inner writing voice. The digital magazine shares literary pieces on motherhood written by mother writers across the globe.
The Motherhood Muse is about connecting two worlds (the writer and the mother), creating one voice, and crafting words into an infinite number of worlds. We come here to reconnect with mother nature through writing to share the beauty of our world with ourselves and our children.
What Makes The Motherhood Muse Unique?
The Motherhood Muse serves as a portal into discovering the nature of motherhood and childhood.
The Writer's Workshop integrates literature on motherhood from the perspective of nature with lessons on writing to help mother writers of all experience levels to create literary pieces of their own.
The literary magazine features creative writing by mother writers that explores the depth of motherhood through our connection with nature.
The blog aids mother writers in the development of their writing by providing discussions on various topics of motherhood nature and writing, writing contests, resources on writing, links to mother writer blogs, and more.
While it does cost $4 per issue, I think it is totally worth it--there is some really good stuff in there (including a literary reflections essay by yours truly. Plus, it's a great way to support other mama writers and a good opportunity for submitting content!
